By simply adding more flowers to the dried flowers, you can add fresh colours and make the decoration shine even brighter. You can also have various bouquets delivered with one order in our shop and bind them into a gift. Giving pleasure also means showing creativity and creating great ideas for your home. We think this is a great idea, simply buy the bouquets from us and make your own dried bouquet from the flowers or plants as a whole. We explain how to care for the dried bouquet in the blog article below.

How long does a dried flower bouquet last?

Dried flowers are said to last between six and twelve months, so dried flowers last significantly longer than non-dried flowers.

Both types are beautiful as decoration. What we would recommend is to buy plants with beautiful flowers to taste, let them bloom and then remove the water to make a dried bouquet yourself. Dried flowers have a similar strong colour to a fresh bouquet, but the flowers are of course slightly different to the plants that are fresh.

What is a dried flower bouquet?

A dried flower bouquet is a bouquet of dried flowers that you like to place in a vase or similar as decoration in your home. The decorative aspect is the top priority here. You have the option of either buying a ready-made dried flower bouquet or making a dried flower bouquet yourself by making your own beautiful dried flowers and using them for decoration. In our shop, you are guaranteed to find the bouquet that you would love at home.

We would also recommend pampas grass for use as decoration, as pampas grass looks really wonderful with dried flowers. Simply search for pampas grass on Google or similar search engines or ask your local florist. Combining dried flowers with new ones and pampas grass is almost a must!

The results that can be achieved with this, thanks to a little creativity, are unimaginable and will keep any visitor coming back for more. It's not new, discover the variety when creating decorations, the jewellery for your home.

How do you make dried flowers?

Dried flowers are gently dried for days and weeks without direct sunlight. As this process takes so long, it is very expensive and time-consuming.

Can I dry flowers myself?

Of course you can also dry your own bouquet yourself. This is very possible for your wedding bouquet, for example. The best way to dry the bouquet is to hang it up in a darker place and either spray it with a special spray for dried flowers or use normal hairspray to preserve the flowers. It is important to avoid direct sunlight, as this will cause them to fade and lose their beautiful colour. If you do everything right, the bouquet will delight you again and again after the final drying process. You can order a wedding bouquet from us at any time. The shipping costs are the same in Germany and the flowers are suitable for drying. In general, any bouquet can be dried, as only the moisture is removed in a special way to preserve the colours.

Why are dried flowers so expensive?

Dried flowers are, as the name suggests, dried. This usually takes several days or weeks, depending on the type of flower. The plants are hung up and dried away from direct sunlight.

For this reason, dried flowers not only incur unit costs, but also the space, time and effort required must of course be paid for by the florist. This is why dried flowers are "so expensive".

However, if you consider the shelf life, these dried flower bouquets are not as expensive as they appear at first glance. They are truly a beautiful decoration and can be combined with fresh cut flowers, more on this later.

How do I care for dried flower bouquets properly?

Caring for dried flower bouquets is very simple and much less time-consuming than caring for fresh cut flowers. To optimise the longevity and beauty of your dried flowers, keep the following points in mind:

  • No moisture: Dried flowers must not come into contact with water. Do not water them and keep them away from high humidity (bathroom).
  • Avoid direct sunlight: Do not place your dried flower bouquet in direct sunlight. This can cause the colours to fade and the flowers to become brittle. A shady or indirectly lit place is ideal.
  • Dust regularly: Dust can accumulate on the flowers and make them look dull. Use a soft brush, a hairdryer on the lowest setting or a can of compressed air to carefully remove the dust.
  • Be careful when handling: Dried flowers are more delicate than fresh flowers. Handle them as little as possible to avoid breakage or flowers falling off.
  • Secure stand: Make sure that the bouquet is stable in its vase to prevent it from tipping over and being damaged.

With these simple care tips, you can enjoy your dried flower bouquet for a long time and have a long-lasting, stylish decoration in your home!
